Jazzland Recordings

Jazzland Recordings was created in 1996 in order to release my first album "New conception of jazz". I felt that was be the best way to make sure the album would be in good hands. Having a Label meant that it had to be albums, more than one... . So I went out asking my friends to contribute with music.

Audun Kleive made the second album on Jazzland in 1997 "BITT" . GREAT album! And then it all started to happen. The idea was to release Music in the field between Jazz and Electronic music that me and many of my friends felt really attracted to. We got some really good feedback from people, also in other countries like France and Germany. Jazzland Artists started to do tour outside Norway. Other young artists like Wibutee - Håkon Kornstad - and Atomic contacted me in order to release their Music. And here we are today. I am really proud of Jazzland's music, done by superb Musicians with the will to create New and Good Music. The success is beyond every imagination I had. We are just passing 400.000 sold copies of Norwegian Jazz! Unbelieveable. Hopefully this is only the starting point. There are lots of Music to develope and I do hope Jazzland continues to progress musically together with the Artists. 2006 will be our 10 years aniversary. I am looking forward to it! - Bugge
