About Blixband:
The trombone player Øystein Blix is an important musician and organizer in Northern Norways jazz life. He has been touring all over Norway and abroad, and specially in the North. He lives in Tromsø - a city known for its busy nightlife. BlixBand has released two albums on NORCD. The works on both albums are in a modern acoustic jazz context, with own compositions and arrangements. The musicians has strong characteristic improvisational qualities and are among the foremost on the Norwegian jazz stage. Øystein Blix compose music with an acoustic heart and elements of latin and rock. Still with a strong jazz feeling.
